This project reinterprets The Artist through the language of reduction and sign. Instead of depicting the characters literally, their identities are translated into simple graphic forms that function as visual metaphors
The male protagonist is represented through a moustache — a rigid, symmetrical shape associated with status, masculinity, and the fixed identity of a bygone era
The female character is expressed through soft, rounded lines, inspired by her hairstyle and bodily movement in the film, symbolizing flexibility, rhythm, and emotional openness

By reducing the characters to these minimal forms, the project mirrors the film’s own visual logic: a story told not through dialogue, but through gesture, silhouette, and pause
The Artist is a story about transition — between eras, identities, and ways of being heard. Its emotional foundation is built on nostalgia, loneliness, pride, and quiet hope. The central conflict lies not between old and new technologies, but between resistance to change and the courage to adapt without losing one’s essence
Visual Interpretation:
In this project, simple shapes become carriers of meaning. The contrast between rigid and curved forms reflects the film’s main dramatic tension:
stability vs. movement silence vs. expression past vs. future
Brand Positioning:
A minimalist visual brand that speaks about human identity in moments of cultural and personal transition
