— an open-air gastronomic festival of vegetables and fruits, where people can taste various varieties of fruits, vegetables, and berries brought from all over the world.
The festival is inspired by the French film Amélie, released in 2001. The film is distinguished by an atmosphere of lightness, subtle naivety, and refined whimsy. One of the film’s key visual motifs is the greengrocer’s shop, which served as the main source of inspiration for the creation of the festival.
The name of the festival comes from the seasonality of fruits and vegetables. To connect the atmosphere of the film with the cultural code of my country, I chose a bright yet unobtrusive color palette. The typography and forms used in the project reference Soviet aesthetics, emphasizing a connection to the Russian visual context.
For headings and the logo, the MB Druzba typeface is used. The main body text is set in Wremena, while Roboto is applied for small typography and informational elements.
The graphic concept is based on the letterforms of the selected typefaces, interpreted as images of vegetables and fruits. Additional visual elements include illustrations that emphasize an atmosphere of naivety, warmth, and friendliness, characteristic of both the film and the festival.
